Baseball Recap: Public Safety Academy Has No Trouble Against Desert Chapel

Public Safety Academy won the last time they faced Desert Chapel and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Phoenix blew past the Eagles 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Phoenix, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Alex Barragan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Barragan was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Conrad Henderson and Adan Villa Hernandez did most of the damage at the plate: Henderson went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Villa Hernandez went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Villa Hernandez has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Gutierrez, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Public Safety Academy and bumps their season record up to 13-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Desert Chapel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

As of now, neither Public Safety Academy nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
