Baseball Game Preview: Odessa Bulldogs vs. Southern Boone Eagles

Odessa is 0-4 against Southern Boone since March of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. The last six games Odessa has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Meanwhile, Southern Boone waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Indians a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Southern Boone pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Odessa, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
