Baseball Recap: Union County Takes a Loss

Union County's last matchup with Madisonville-North Hopkins could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. Union County lost 13-3 to Madisonville-North Hopkins. The loss continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Maroons: they've now lost three in a row.

Union County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Shouse, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Shouse has posted since back in May of 2024.

Union County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union County will take on Caldwell County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, they will challenge Dawson Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
