Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Lourdes' Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Lourdes unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Suring Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Anika Leitch paced Lourdes' offense, picking up 11 kills. Leitch got some help from Celia Ralofsky and her 22 assists. Ralofsky was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lourdes' defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Suring, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Lourdes will face off against Wayland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Suring, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Crivitz at 5:30 p.m. on the 30th.
