Softball Recap: West Salem Beats South Salem for Their Ninth Straight Win

West Salem waltzed into their game on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the South Salem Saxons 15-1. Considering the Titans have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Salem's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for South Salem, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. West Salem will square off against rival Sprague at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, South Salem is set to take on their familiar foe McNary at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
