Detroit Leadership Academy put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Old Redford Academy Ravens 42-8. Detroit Leadership Academy pushed the score to 40-5 by the end of the third, a deficit Old Redford Academy cut but never quite recovered from.

Leading Detroit Leadership Academy to victory were DANA HIGHTOWER and LILA PINKSTON. HIGHTOWER almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine steals, while PINKSTON went 8 of 15 on her way to 17 points and eight steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which HIGHTOWER has scored at least a third of Detroit Leadership Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of DESTINY REED, who posted two points along with eight boards and three blocks.

Detroit Leadership Academy pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Detroit Leadership Academy and Michigan Math & Science will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Old Redford Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Detroit Leadership Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
