Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ian Oliveira and Jonathan Nogueira Lead Horizon to Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Horizon rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the Cypress Creek Bears with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Leading Horizon to victory were Jonathan Nogueira and Ian Oliveira. Nogueira had ten digs and two assists, while Oliveira had nine digs, three aces, and one block. Oliveira has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 17 times he's played.

Horizon's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Cypress Creek, they moved to 16-4 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Horizon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Freedom on the 13th. Cypress Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
