Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Georgetown Day). They walked away with a 69-59 victory over McLean on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Mighty Hoppers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Georgetown Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rafriel Guthrie, who went 5 of 8 en route to 14 points. Jibril Nashid also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Georgetown Day smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.

Georgetown Day's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for McLean, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Georgetown Day will take on Potomac School at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McLean, they will face off against Sandy Spring Friends at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
