Volleyball Game Preview: Grandview Wolves vs. Eaglecrest Raptors

Grandview hasn't had much luck against Eaglecrest recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Raptors at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Grandview is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Overland, who was ranked 21st at the time (Grandview was ranked seventh). The Wolves blew past the Trailblazers 3-0 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Trailblazers: they've now won seven in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Grandview took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-10, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Eaglecrest came tearing into Tuesday's match with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bruins.

While Eaglecrest won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-22.

Grandview's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Eaglecrest, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
