Baseball Game Preview: Windsor Jaguars vs. Maria Carrillo Pumas

For the second straight game, Windsor will face off against Maria Carrillo. The Jaguars will host the Pumas at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Windsor not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10, 2024. They blew past Maria Carrillo 9-1.

AJ Rakowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Micah Sanders was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Gavin Restad was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Windsor is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Maria Carrillo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
