After a string of seven wins, Nettleton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pontotoc Warriors by a score of 11-10. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Tigers, who until this game were averaging 1.97 runs allowed.

Zyah Gunter led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Nettleton's defeat dropped their record down to 25-3-1. As for Pontotoc, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-10.

Nettleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pontotoc, they will head out to challenge Tupelo at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
