High Point Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They never let the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on 12 straight dating back to last season.
Lila Allred made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Allred was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs.
In other batting news, Madison Benson was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Hailey Allred was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
