Softball Recap: Centennial Has No Trouble Against Parkrose

Centennial not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 14, 2024 (when they won 13-0). They blew past the Parkrose Broncos 14-3. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Taelyn Danner made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Danner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season.

In other batting news, Neveah Norris and Arianna Proffitt did most of the damage at the plate: Norris went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Proffitt went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Norris is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Marley Lopez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Centennial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Parkrose, they are on a 40-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Centennial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Broncos: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
