Softball Recap: Westran Hornets vs. Glasgow Yellowjackets
Westran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of the Glasgow Yellowjackets by a score of 13-12. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Kate Hollmann and Hadley Harvey did some serious damage despite the final result: Hollmann went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and a run, while Harvey scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. What's more, Harvey also racked up three hits, the mostshe's had since back in September. Jaycie Colley was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Westran now has a losing record at 13-14. As for Glasgow, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
Westran is on the road again on Wednesday to play Fayette at 4:30 p.m. Westran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Glasgow, they will welcome Slater at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
