Rustburg is 8-2 against Brookville since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Rustburg will face off against Brookville at 7:00 p.m. Rustburg will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Rustburg's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Alleghany 2-0.

The result came thanks to Laila Bigham's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brookville). They put the hurt on William Campbell with a sharp 15-4 victory on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bees with their most commanding win of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Brookville and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Rustburg, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Rustburg was able to grind out a solid victory over Brookville when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rustburg since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
