Volleyball Recap: South Gate Comes Up Short

South Gate was the 3-0 winner over Roosevelt when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The South Gate Rams lost 3-0 to the Roosevelt Rough Riders on Monday. Rams fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Rough Riders since on Monday.

South Gate was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 25-19.

South Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Roosevelt, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Gate will welcome Animo South Los Angeles at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Roosevelt, they will challenge Legacy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Legacy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Roosevelt surely won't give up without a fight.
