Football Recap: Poway Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Poway played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 42-22 to the Carlsbad Lancers. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Poway lost, don't look at Luke Jorgensen. Despite the final result, he rushed for 270 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Jorgensen showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 56 yards.

Eli MacNeal continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carlsbad, throwing for 232 yards and five TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 39 yards. Another player making a difference was Kai Brown, who rushed for 78 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Poway's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Carlsbad, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poway will welcome Mount Miguel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carlsbad, they will host Valley Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
