Basketball Game Preview: Ballou Knights vs. Banneker Bulldogs

The Ballou Knights will challenge the Banneker Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Ballou is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: McKinley Tech, who was ranked seventh at the time (Ballou was ranked 16th). Ballou took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of McKinley Tech. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Banneker strolled past Ron Brown with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 62-47.

Banneker's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Ballou, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Ballou took their win against Banneker in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 69-48. Will Ballou repeat their success, or does Banneker have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
