Windsor Locks took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Granby Memorial, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raiders narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bears 10-8. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by exactly two runs.

Jomar Ortiz was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zavier Hunt, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Windsor Locks and bumps their season record up to 5-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Granby Memorial, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Windsor Locks will host Somers at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Granby Memorial, they are taking a road trip to face off against Gilbert-Northwestern Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
