Volleyball Game Preview: Mater Brighton Lakes Academy Broncos vs. Liberty Chargers

Mater Brighton Lakes Academy is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Wednesday. They will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Liberty Chargers at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On March 5th, Mater Brighton Lakes Academy came up short against Cornerstone Charter Academy and fell 3-1. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Mater Brighton Lakes Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 19-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Innovation.

Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything went Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's way against Liberty in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Mater Brighton Lakes Academy made off with a 3-0 victory.
