Basketball Recap: Harrisburg Academy Spartans vs. New Covenant Christian Flames

Harrisburg Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the New Covenant Christian Flames , falling 79-51. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 85-60 back in January.

New Covenant Christian found their leader in freshman Alexander Hart, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hart has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Grant Canakis, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Harrisburg Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for New Covenant Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Looking ahead, Harrisburg Academy will head out on the road to face off against York Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. York Country Day will roll in looking for their 21st straight victory, something Harrisburg Academy surely won't give up without a fight. New Covenant Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
