Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sacred Heart walked away with it. They strolled past the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 67-51. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four contests in a row.

Sacred Heart's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Mahnomen/Waubun, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.

Looking ahead, Sacred Heart will take on Kelliher/Northome at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kelliher/Northome knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 28 matches -- so hopefully Sacred Heart likes a good challenge. Mahnomen/Waubun does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
