Softball Game Preview: North Beach Hyaks vs. Quilcene Rangers

The North Beach Hyaks will head out to challenge the Quilcene Rangers at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Beach made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Forks, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hyaks put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 21-8 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hyaks needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Quilcene earned a 9-6 win over Muckleshoot Tribal on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

North Beach now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Quilcene, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-5.

North Beach came out on top in a nail-biter against Quilcene in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hyaks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
