Dwight Morrow saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adonis Rosario, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Clifton hadn't beaten Bergen Tech on the road since June 1, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Mustangs blew past the Knights 13-2. The Mustangs not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8th (when they won 15-2).
Trevor Rascher made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has become a key player for Clifton: the team is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-14 otherwise. Rascher was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bobby Cross, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 11 games. Jaycob Irizarry was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Clifton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Clifton's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-16. As for Dwight Morrow, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
Dwight Morrow couldn't quite get it done against Clifton in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 9-4. Can the Maroon Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
