It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Langston Hughes can now relate to. They lost 56-35 to the Milton Eagles on Tuesday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Langston Hughes still got an impressive performance from Carsyn Baker, who rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Baker got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 70 yards. Maurice Gleaton Jr was in the mix too, providing Langston Hughes with two touchdowns.

Baker was just one part of a punishing run game: Langston Hughes was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 226 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 150 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Milton had a senior duo take command as Luke Nickel threw for 409 yards and four touchdowns while completing 95.5% of his passes and TJ Lester rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns Lester has posted since back in August. Ethan Barbour also helped out as he racked up 140 receiving yards.

Langston Hughes' defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Milton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

As of now, neither Langston Hughes nor Milton have any future games scheduled.
