Basketball Recap: John Jay Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact John Jay can now relate to. They lost to the Spring Valley Tigers on the road by a 80-64 margin on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), the Patriots still had to take the loss.

John Jay dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Spring Valley, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

As of now, neither John Jay nor Spring Valley have any future games scheduled.
