Baseball Recap: Caledonia Beats New Hope for Their Third Straight Victory

Caledonia entered their tilt with New Hope on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the New Hope Trojans a 3-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Cavaliers have won by exactly three runs.

The result came thanks to Reid Garrett's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up 15 Ks. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Caledonia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Dawkins, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Jack Mullins also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Caledonia now has a winning record of 3-2. As for New Hope, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
