Soccer Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

Salem managed to slip by Mitchell the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions lost 5-0 to the Bluejackets on Monday. Salem were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mitchell apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Salem's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Mitchell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem will face off against Scottsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Salem will be up against Scottsburg's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.21 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mitchell, they will challenge Washington Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
