Recap: Lakeside Panthers vs. Evans Knights
Even though the Lakeside Panthers have not done well against the Evans Knights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Lakeside walked away with a 67-56 win over Evans. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lakeside was led to victory by Bryce Reynierson and Ty Jones. Reynierson scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Jones scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. Mi?keal Grissom was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lakeside and bumps their season record up to 12-9. As for Evans, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.
Lakeside and Grovetown will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Evans, they will head out on the road to challenge South Effingham at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
