Baseball Recap: Del Norte Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Del Norte Knights came up short against the Moriarty Pintos and fell 9-6.

Kevin Torivio made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Uzziah Bookland was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.

Del Norte's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Moriarty, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Del Norte wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-3 defeat against Sandia Prep on the 15th. As for Moriarty, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-9 loss against West Mesa on the 15th.
