Preview: Heritage Hall vs. Bridge Creek
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Heritage Hall. On Thursday they take on Bridge Creek at 7:00 PM. Heritage Hall are coming into the matchup hot, having won five in a row.
Last Thursday, Heritage Hall put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They blew past Perkins-Tryon 35-12. Senior Billy Ross jr. was the offensive standout of the match for Heritage Hall, as he rushed for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns. One of the most memorable plays of the game was Ross jr.'s 59-yard touchdown rush in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Bridge Creek, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They were given a punishing 7-49 loss at the hands of Kingfisher. Bridge Creek were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-42.
Heritage Hall's win lifted them to 5-1 while Bridge Creek's defeat dropped them down to 1-5. Bridge Creek's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Heritage Hall defensive front that amassed four sacks against Perkins-Tryon, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
