Softball Recap: Happy Valley Warriors vs. West Greene Buffaloes
After flying high against Hampton last Saturday, Happy Valley came back down to earth. The Happy Valley Warriors lost 15-1 to the West Greene Buffaloes on Monday. Happy Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Greene apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
For West Greene's part, Morgan Brown was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Brown was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run.
In other batting news, Hayley Arnold was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Amanda Owens, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
