Basketball Game Preview: Meadow Broncos vs. Amherst Bulldogs

Meadow is 3-0 against Amherst since December of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Meadow Broncos will host the Amherst Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Meadow had to suffer through a 61-24 loss at the hands of Whitharral. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 969th, while the Panthers are ranked 436th).

Meanwhile, Amherst was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Wellman-Union 64-20.

Amherst's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Meadow, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Everything came up roses for Meadow against Amherst in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 58-21 victory. Does Meadow have another victory up their sleeve, or will Amherst turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
