Adam Denkert Turns in Season-Best Effort

Adam Denkert produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Kenesaw to the win on Friday. Denkert's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 113 rushing yards. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 74 yards.

This season, Denkert has caught 7 touchdowns while averaging 63.1 receiving yards per game.

Elijah Bergstrom Dazzles in Axtell Victory

Elijah Bergstrom posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 284 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Axtell, bringing their record for this year to 4-4. Bergstrom and Axtell will head out to take on Mullen at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On the season, Oberg has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 45.4 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had eight rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 16.

Even if Franklin couldn't beat Axtell on Friday, underclassman Calvin Carraher still had a big game. Axtell had no answer to Carraher as he threw for 343 yards and four touchdowns.

On the season, Carraher has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 120.2 passing yards per game.

Jacob Halvorsen Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Jacob Halvorsen posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (108.4). Axtell is 2-1 when Halvorsen posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.
