Basketball Recap: West Carroll Takes a Loss

West Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 66-38 loss at the hands of the River Ridge Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-46 last Thursday.

Damon Dittmar continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for River Ridge, going 8-for-15 en route to 22 points. The match was Dittmar's third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Logan Keleher, who made all 5 shots he took for 10 points.

West Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 5-22. As for River Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-14 record this season.

West Carroll has already played their next contest, a 72-32 defeat against Galena on the 18th. As for River Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-55 loss against Warren on the 15th.
