Softball Recap: New Philadelphia's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against Lexington last Tuesday, New Philadelphia came back down to earth. New Philadelphia fell 4-0 to Lexington on Wednesday. The loss was the Quakers' first of the season.

New Philadelphia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sidney Vandall, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Zoey Devore also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

New Philadelphia dropped their record down to 3-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lexington, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Philadelphia will venture away from home to challenge River View at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lexington, they will head out to face off against Galion at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
