Softball Recap: Collins Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Collins's offense. They came up short against the Oldham County Colonels on Thursday, falling 16-0. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Colonels: they've now lost four in a row.

Collins saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Betsy England, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Collins now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Oldham County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 25-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collins will head out to challenge Trimble County at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Oldham County, they will venture away from home to take on Meade County on Saturday. The last three games the Green Waves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
