Recap: Rogers Rams vs. Olympia Bears
It was a good run, but the Rogers Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Olympia. While losing is never fun, Rogers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Olympia is ranked sixth).
Rogers' loss came despite strong showings from Jakeem Richardson and Treyshawn Weatherspoon. Richardson scored 12 points, while Weatherspoon scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Amanna Anusiem, who scored eight points.
Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Olympia, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Rogers will be home for the holidays to greet Puyallup at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Puyallup and Rogers are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Olympia, they will head out on the road to face off against Graham-Kapowsin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
