Volleyball Recap: Karns Beavers vs. Knoxville Central Bobcats
Karns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Knoxville Central Bobcats, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Beavers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Karns was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Knoxville Central work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-13, 25-14.
Knoxville Central can attribute much of their success to Hannah Monholland, who had four digs and three aces. Monholland is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Karns' defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Knoxville Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-9.
As of now, neither Karns nor Knoxville Central have any future games scheduled.
