Volleyball Recap: Union Grove Comes Up Short

After flying high against Waterford on Tuesday, Union Grove came back down to earth. The Broncos took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Menomonee Falls Phoenix on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

Among those leading the charge was Cassie Bruns, who had five digs and three aces.

Union Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-18 record this season. As for Menomonee Falls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-8.

Union Grove has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Middleton on the 11th. As for Menomonee Falls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Burlington on the 11th.
