Softball Recap: Waterford Wolverines vs. Indian Trail Hawks
Waterford let Indian Trail stack four runs on them in the seventh inning on Monday but luckily Waterford prevailed anyway. The Wolverines came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 8-5. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 10-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jaydin Kiser made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Kiser wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Abby George, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI George has posted since back in April.
Waterford's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Indian Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waterford will take on Burlington at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indian Trail, they will face off against Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
