The Coolidge Bears will face off against the Thatcher Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Coolidge took a loss when they played away from home on October 10th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They really took it to San Tan Foothills for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-6 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their six-point performance the game before.

A big part of Coolidge's win came down to the chemistry between Jayce Moore and his top target Kelshawn Dixon-Wright. Moore threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes while Dixon-Wright picked up 117 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 117 receiving yards gave Dixon-Wright a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Thatcher waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 40-0 victory over the Sabercats. The Eagles pushed the score to 33-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Sabercats had no chance of recovering from.

Coolidge now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Thatcher, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Coolidge took a serious blow against Thatcher in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 56-20. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bears were down 35-6.
