Softball Recap: Cleveland Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Cleveland Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-2 to the Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 back in March.

Shannoun Caldwell was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 1-for-2. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season.

Cleveland Central Catholic's record now sits at 0-7. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Cleveland Central Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Garfield Community Learning Center at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Rhodes at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th.
