Softball Recap: Bingham Gets the Win

Bingham extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Copper Hills. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grizzlies, sneaking past 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Miners: when they faced off against the Grizzlies back in April, they had to take a 10-7 loss.

Lily Gritton was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over eight innings pitched. Gritton was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Haylee Snyder, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Bingham is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-14-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Copper Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-8.

Bingham wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Davis on the 20th. Copper Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
