Baseball Recap: Nipomo Comes Up Short

Nipomo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Mission College Prep Royals, falling 12-2. The Titans were not able to make up for their loss to the Royals from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Nipomo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Barr, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Nipomo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mission College Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nipomo will square off against Pioneer Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mission College Prep, they will take on Morro Bay at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Morro Bay will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Mission College Prep surely won't give up without a fight.
