Baseball Game Preview: Antelope Titans vs. Grant Pacers

Antelope has gone a perfect 3-0 against Grant recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Antelope Titans will host the Grant Pacers at 4:00 p.m. Antelope is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Antelope will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Grant on Thursday. Antelope blew past Grant 12-2. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Pacers: they've now won three in a row.

Tristan Hofferber made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Antelope's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 3-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Hofferber was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Antelope let Adrian Martinez and Andrew Hodson run wild. Martinez scored three runs and stole Five bases. while going 1-for-3, while Hodson scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Hodson also scored three runs, which is notable because Antelope is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kaden Coates, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Grant is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7. As for Antelope, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
