Baseball Recap: Dryden Has No Trouble Against Memphis

Dryden won the last time they faced Memphis and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cardinals blew past the Yellowjackets 13-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Ian Tresnek made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Tresnek was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Aiden Furneaux was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Dryden is undefeated when Furneaux posts three or more RBI, but 4-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jayden Stankevich, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Dryden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Dryden back to even at 7-7. As for Memphis, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

As of now, neither Dryden nor the Yellowjackets have any future games scheduled.
