Softball Recap: Bell Blue Raiders vs. Trinity Trojans
Bell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 back in March.
Rylie English was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Presley Rivers made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Bell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21-1. As for Trinity, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-20.
As of now, neither Bell nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
