Softball Recap: Saint Francis Snags 18th Victory in Last 19 Games

It's playoff time, and Saint Francis had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rocklin Thunder on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lancers have posted since April 11th.

Bianka Fisher looked comfortable as she tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Saint Francis saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was May Meltz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Meltz is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Saint Francis is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season. As for Rocklin, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-7.

As of now, neither Saint Francis nor the Thunder have any future games scheduled.
