Softball Recap: Rossview Triumphs

Rossview owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Lexington Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

The team relied heavily on McKenzie Quick, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Scott, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Rossview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Rossview's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Rossview will be taking part in a tournament against McNairy Central at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lexington, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-0 victory against Dresden on the 21st.
